Absolutely. Sooner or later the offense will realize the pitching can’t carry them and everyone (not just Soriano or Bradley) will start getting the bats going.

I think they can pull it off.

They are 2.5 games out with a LOT of baseball left to be played.

The Brewers and the Cards will not let them take the division easily, which I think will be good for the Cubs, make them earn it, maybe then they will carry that momentum into the playoffs and actually get somewhere.

The Cubs main problem, aside rom numerous injuries, is that they aren’t hitting with runners in scoring position. Their entire starting outfield–Soriano, Fukudome, and Bradley–has been awful offensively so far but the streaky Soriano could heat up at any time.
Gerald Perry was blamed for the Cubs failings and was replaced as hitting coach by Von Joshua. I think that over time Joshua will straighten Cubs hitters out and they will steal the Central title late in the season.
As awful as they’ve been so far this year they’re still within easy striking distance of 1st place in the division…nobody is going to walk away with it this year.

The Cubs aren’t a bad team, their only like 2 games out, but i think milton bradley needs to turn around too
